With our team of specialist, experienced craftsman, Wanaka Wood Floors has been making beautiful wood floors for our customers for over 22 years. New owners Carl and Gerard and the team, will continue to carry on with this craftsmanship. They will further develop the business in the Wanaka region’s homes, restaurants and businesses.
We travel for specialist and bespoke jobs for clients, and supply timber flooring throughout New Zealand.

Carl Gerrard Timber Floor Installer and Co-owner of Wanaka Wood Floors

A registered builder, originally trained in England, Carlos joined the Wanaka Wood Floors team ten years ago as a contractor, installing floors. He now co-owns WWF, installs timber floors and manages the installation team.

Gerard BonnyOwner and Showroom Manager

Gerard has an extensive customer service, sales and business background, latterly with The North Face. He has always had an affinity with timber. He is learning the ropes and keeping current with all the latest technology and industry trends via Domotex and NWFA in Asia, Europe or USA, and ATFA within New Zealand.

Monique GerradConsulting Architect and Tenders

As a practising architect, Monique brings her wealth of experience in the technical side of plans, and design flair to assist in the business as required. With her husband Carl, they will continue to grow the business and offer great service to customers.

RyanFloorsander and Finisher

Ryan trained and completed his BCITO apprenticeship under Stephen’s guidance and now is fully qualified in floor finishing after six years with Wanaka Wood Floors. He is an asset to our team.

PeaceFlooring Installer

Peace has been with Wanaka Wood Floors throughout 2024, and continues with the team, installing floors to a high level of workmanship and always with a smile on his face and a happy disposition.

JackFloor Installer

Completing his BCITO Floor Installer apprenticeship with Wanaka Wood Floors, Jack is now studying architecture in Auckland, but rejoins our team during study breaks.

Libby Blackley Showroom helper

As one of the previous owners of Wanaka Wood Floors, Libby is helping with the transition, and face-to-face with customers coming into the showroom.

Stephen Blackley Bespoke Floor Specialist Contractor

Stephen has been in the Wood Floor Business for over 35 years, with a wealth of experience in refurbishing wood floors, and custom finishing and special effects. With his WWF team, he has crafted a large number of timber floors in the Wanaka region, over 20 years. He now contracts to WWF as needed and is taking a more leisurely approach to life.

We are joined on a regular basis by a number of skilled locals contractors, who work with us on special projects, or when their other specialist jobs allow them. We have a very varied depth of skills within this crew, from flooring specialists to builders.
